Earliest Food Memory: Tuna and egg sandwiches that my mother made for me.
Favorite Ingredient: Any herb. ­It boosts the flavor of whatever you’re making.
Go-To Dish: Roast chicken. Just rub down chicken quarters with salt, pepper, paprika, and olive oil, place them on a bed of sliced onions, and roast uncovered for an hour at 350 degrees.
Biggest Kitchen Disaster: I dropped a pine nut-honey tart as I was taking it out of the oven. Luckily it landed on parchment paper so at least we were still able to taste it!
Secret Kitchen Trick: Being super organized.
Biggest Occupational Hazard: Getting burned when taking things out of
the oven.
Technique that still eludes me: French macaroons
