Meet the Bloggers
Kristen Flanagan
Name: Kristen Flanagan, Associate Editor
Hometown: Hillsdale, New Jersey
Trying to Learn: Knitting (for the past three years... persistence is key!)
Perfect Saturday Morning: A walk with my dog, Millie, followed by a latte and the newspaper.
D.I.Y or Etsy: Etsy, all the way!
Best Occupational Perk: Ice sculptures on wheeled carts, bullfrogs in the photo studio... there's never a dull moment at the office!
Biggest Occupational Hazard: A giant bowl of jellybeans (compliments of Kevin Sharkey) and confections from the test kitchen challenge my willpower every day.
Work Uniform: Comfortable shoes that are cute, too; Our office building takes up an entire New York City block!
First Living Story: As an assistant, my first assignment was to help out with the May 2010 cover, which featured a wall covered in paint chips. I spent an entire afternoon running around New York City, quietly pilfering paint chips from hardware stores for the photo shoot.
