A New Tool for Creative Makers

By

We obviously love making, and we’ve found an amazing new app that perfectly fuses digital creation with tangible projects, making it easy –– and fun –– to create business cards, menus, invitations and more. Makr, which just launched last month, is an iPad app that puts beautiful design right at your fingertips –– literally.

The app is great for creative entrepreneurs and small-business owners who are trying to create a visual identity for their brand. They can design business cards, labels, and more in the app and then pay to have them professionally printed. Or, for day-to-day projects like Facebook promotions, or flyers, business owners can design what they need in the app and pay a small fee for a hi-res PDF version to print themselves.

Even if you don’t have a business, Makr is a fun way to put a personal touch on party invites or return address labels (or last-minute holiday cards). Within each pre-designed template, you can pick your own colors, fonts, photos, and more. There’s plenty of project inspiration in the app itself in the form of a blog created by Martha Stewart Living alumna Kelsey Mirando.

Want to give it a try yourself? Download Makr in the Apple Store. Living Blog readers can get 25% off their order of professional prints with the code MSL25.
