Links We Love This Week

By

The whole staff is gearing up for our American Made event next week. If you’re in New York City, you should come check it out! In the meantime, here are five links I bookmarked this week. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hand & Cloth is an organization in Bangladesh that provides a living wage and school scholarships to young at-risk women. Each woman is paid per-piece to stitch these beautiful quilts from recycled sari material.

What’s for dinner tonight? This roasted squash salad looks delish.

These chalkboard, glitter place cards are sweet—and reusable!

These fashion icon costumes for kids made me laugh. (But I think the adults at the Halloween party will get more of a kick out of them than any of the kids.)

How cool is this project by two Danish architects, who are re-imagining the spaces between city buildings as tiny, highly-efficient homes?

Kristen Flanagan is an associate editor at Martha Stewart Living. When she’s not spoiling her puppy, Millie, she’s finding ways to decorate her tiny one-bedroom apartment. Follow her on Pinterest @kflan85.

  • Oh my goodness, the glitter place cards are too cute and economical to NOT try! I will use orange glitter and make them for my Thanksgiving place settings :)
