Renegade Craft Fair Wrap Up: DIY Bracelet-Making

Thanks to all who joined us at this summer’s San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair! More than 200 of you stopped by our booth at Toyota’s DIY Inspiration Lounge to make the friendship bracelets featured in our July/August issue, and we enjoyed rolling up our sleeves and crafting with every one of you.

Our Editorial Director of Crafts, Marcie McGoldrick, and her team of crafters demonstrated basic jewelry-making techniques using Martha Stewart Crafts yarn and charms. It was so inspiring to see what beautiful wrist bling, creative color and charm combinations, and friendship bracelet patterns were created! See more of the Toyota Retreat action at SF Renegade by searching the hashtag #ToyotaGiving on Twitter and Instagram. Every photo posted prompted a $3 donation by Toyota to the Women’s Initiative for Self Employment, which works to provide low-income women with the training, resources, and support to start their own businesses and become financially self-sufficient.

We look forward to joining forces with Toyota again this year at the One of a Kind Show in Chicago. Check back for more details! Didn’t make it to our bracelet-making demo? Don’t forget to check out our July/August issue on newsstands and iPad now.
