This week we stopped by the gorgeous New York City flagship store and spa of AmorePacific, an Asian skin-care and beauty brand that has been gaining a lot of U.S. fans, including Martha Stewart. AmorePacific was the first skin-care company to use green-tea extract from its own green-tea garden, located off the coast of Korea on the lush Jeju Island. Products also feature ingredients like Korean red ginseng, matsutake mushrooms, and bamboo sap. But most important, of course, is that the products deliver visible results. And they do, says Martha’s makeup artist Daisy Schwartzberg, who shared some of her favorites with us.Daisy isn’t a spokesperson of the brand, just a convert after Martha introduced her to the Moisture Bound Tinted Treatment moisturizer SPF 15, which was featured in the December 2012 issue of Living. Daisy said they were getting on a plane when she noticed how good Martha’s skin looked and complimented her, and Martha told her about the AmorePacific product. Daisy says she likes the sheer coverage and dewy finish, and she’s spreading the word. “I love it! I tweet about it, I Instagram it.”One of Daisy’s other favorites is the new Color Control Cushion compact, which is SPF 50 and has 16(!) patents pending. “It takes away redness and leaves skin dewy,” says Daisy. She used it on a makeup-averse bride over the weekend and said it provided just the right amount of coverage. But for Daisy, the CC compact isn’t just for special occasions. “I won’t leave home without it—not even to the gym.”
