Heather Ross Prints!

By

You may already be a fan of Heather Ross and her bright, whimsical fabrics. Heather is an illustrator, sewer, crafter, fabric designer and blogger. She has a huge following in the sewing and quilting world where her prints often sell out and become collectible, going for big sums on eBay! Have you seen her latest book Heather Ross Prints? In it she provides a DVD with 50 of her designs (including some of her well-loved but out-of-print fabric designs and illustrations) along with 20 projects using those prints to get you started.

In the first part of the book, Heather shares project ideas using her print designs such as dishtowels, trays, lanterns, stationary, tablecloths, wrapping paper, and this custom shower curtain, below!

For aspiring textile designers, Heather shares her process for designing fabric using Photoshop.

I often see Heather’s fabric used by other crafters in projects around the web. These stuffed animal sleeping bags by blogger Hazelnuts are one of my favorite!

Heather is quite the crafter herself. She made this adorable doll bed out of a clementine crate with Martha on TV a few years ago. It was inspired by a children’s book series that she illustrates, Crafty Chloe.

I spied this project on Heather’s blog. Such a great use for champagne corks! Paint them and add a washi tape flag on a thin nail for a sweet placecard.

We can’t wait to see what she does next!
