[...] Martha-approved Oscar party? Yes, [...]

I just listened to a wonderful audio of Martha Stewart on “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” from November, 2012. Having had a dinner party last night that featured garlic and pomegranates, I couldn’t believe my ears when both of those delicious foods prevailed.
So, I must say, for all concerned who love both, my two cents are hereby offerred:
the wonderful red, bulbous delights of the pomegranates are not the seeds! They are actually called “arils” and the seeds of the pomegranate plant are within this juicy laden pulp housing.
Regarding garlic, you must grow your own. Plant in the Spring from last year’s bulbs. Plant each clove and enjoy. Stores well – well, we had some delicious home-grown garlic last night and it’s the end of February.
