BACKSTORY: It’s never boring around the Martha Stewart Living offices! The same day that my dog El Capitan (a.k.a. Cappy) was here visiting, Clara (driven by her dad, Matt Hranek) stopped by to pick up her mom, our executive editor, Yolanda Edwards (side note: Matt, a photographer, shoots frequently for MSL). Clara got very excited when she spied a certain lip balm on our beauty table. She told me that her Grandma Carmie had turned her on to this lip saver a few years back and she has been a fan ever since.

CLARA’S ONE-SENTENCE REVIEW: “I like it because it had a tiny bit of shimmer and just a little color, and it helped my chapped lips.” Lavera states that there are a whooping 10 flower and plant oils in every little tube, and based on Clara’s review, we believe them.

CAPPY’S REVIEW: Bow-wow [translation: "Can I eat that thing?"].
